Set Sail 05:06
Unwanted and alone you gotta talk yourself right through this storm with every single goddamn cop-out quote kneel down and kiss the deck of the sinking boat that you're in embrace it like a friend You close your eyes and see a muzzle flash as devils tempt this day to be your last "Come on, it don't hurt, and it goes fast!" they say, but you refuse to enter heaven that way. And all your problems start to look like towers you take them on one by one with a chisel and hammer It's the only thing you know those words from pulpits never taught you what to do when you face the impossible So you pull a Bible off the shelf (What have I got to lose?) and you beg and plead for heaven's help (I might as well ask for a miracle) while simultaneously saying they're the reason for this hell (And if I don't get it, I'll just kill this friendship) Maybe your prayers go unanswered 'cause they contradict themselves. ('Cause if it benefits me not, then it's completely worthless) And now you're overwhelmed with the weight of the world. If all you wanted was a pity party, that's all you had to say. So pick yourself up off that ocean floor come back up to the surface 'cause there's so much more to life than what you've seen from the nest of a weathered ship You only hate the horizon 'cause you've never seen it bearing gifts And keep swimming and you're sure to find land yeah, you might be tired, but it's worth it in the end to finally get to know the comfort of sleeping in your own bed and dream without the lullaby of waves hitting your ship But now you're overwhelmed with the weight of the world. If all you wanted was a pity party, that's all you had to say. But you are not a victim in this life and I will not stay silent while you lead yourself astray So set sail and come home 'cause I miss you dearly, my friend.

Arrows 04:07
You make believe I'm something that I'm not and pretend to hate me with a cause I've been there a thousand times I wish I could have made up my mind to never let go of the ones who loved me most But hey, life goes on, and I moved on alone But who am I to think you'd hear the words I say? You smile, nod, and say okay but I know it doesn't mean a thing! Your future speaks of unspeakable misery it tickles your tongue with that perfect flavor It fills your stomach with an unfulfilling fullness but the aftertaste is purely bitter And honesty is not enough to change your mind So honestly I'm really not too surprised when you give birth to all those stupid lies and expect me to follow close behind But don't let yourself be fooled, I don't need you in my life you were never the source of my happiness, you only brought an emphasis You don't define me any more than the death you speak steals my life and here I am, I'm still alive Your future speaks of unspeakable misery it tickles your tongue with that perfect flavor It fills your stomach with an unfulfilling fullness but the aftertaste is purely bitter You say you're scared to take a leap of faith but what another foolish mistake you've made You blindly jumped to another conclusion What a foolish mistake to make! If a friendship can die as quickly as a bullet takes a life then I propose to you, my love, that it was never really alive! Your future speaks of unspeakable misery it tickles your tongue with that perfect flavor It fills your stomach with an unfulfilling fullness but the aftertaste is purely bitter You are now far from me and my world continues spinning and ears fail, waiting for you to say the same And now my loyalty to friendship has followed this to it's grave and my ears fail, waiting for you you say the same And now I wash my hands of this.

Gone Astray 03:43
You might say that I've gone astray and I'm likely to wholeheartedly agree with you But let's not jump to conclusion No, don't jump to conclusion let's define the road I've left behind for truth I obeyed the rules still I was miserable and I knew what a "wretched man" I was So aware of how much I needed saving but the whole time I was already saved You can try your hardest to figure out what I've been through and fill your heart with reasons you can't speak to me to justify the distance too But let's not jump to conclusion no, don't jump to conclusion let's define the road I've left behind for truth I obeyed the rules still I was miserable and I knew what a "wretched man" I was So aware of how much I needed saving but the whole time I was already saved.

Here comes the end of the world like they've been saying here for years so I suppose that I should pack my bags and spend my life in fear Why would I want to follow you sheltered inside for all my life so scared of the things you preach that I won't even go outside You say you're not of this world but live according to "the fall" so you tolerate tragedy The hope of freedom is locked away inside your hearts behind the rules and regulations Arise and shine, my bride Let the light shine upon you You were made for more than this Stand up and be set free return to your first love you were made for more than this If you are the light of the world then darkness is without excuse but how can they see a thing if He said, "Go!" and you refuse? Why would they want to follow you sheltered inside for all their lives so scared of the things you preach that they won't even go outside. You say you're not of this world but live according to "the fall" so you tolerate tragedy The hope of freedom is locked away inside your hearts behind the rules and regulations Arise and shine, my bride Let the light shine upon you You were made for more than this Stand up and be set free return to your first love you were made for more than this

I dream of a better life for you and I hope you dream it too But I don't think you do no, I don't think you do And I'm so scared of losing you but at the same time I dread looking at you 'cause I don't know when I'll wake up and find your ghost in my bedroom And let's be honest, with the way things are going it's a miracle that you still have a breath in your body And I've been thinking I should say goodbye and get it over with while you can still reply Yeah, I mean before you... [die] So, say your prayers and go to sleep and when you wake up I'll be gone 'Cause if I'm sure of one thing it's that my time is not for wasting I've said everything I know how to say to make it easier for you to make the dark go away you smile and turn... but you still stay the same I guess that's reality, and the dust falls from my feet So, say your prayers and go to sleep and when you wake up I'll be gone 'Cause if I'm sure of one thing it's that my time is not for wasting I dream of a better life for you and I hope you dream it too but I don't think you do.

You stand side by side in perfect lines hold hands and stare at them in silence superstition and tradition: overturn those bowls in heaven They watch the judgment pour from your eyes do you really think that keeping quiet is the key to changing lives? Silence has never changed a thing But you'll keep trying anyway to get the sense that you've fulfilled responsibility You stick close to the crowd bound to a movement that isn't moving but bite your tongue, 'cause disagreement is dishonoring "Murders and blasphemers!" You pray, "May God have mercy on you!" but you show no mercy for them and you're the answer to your own prayer Life isn't a word written with a pen it's the essence of Truth spoken It paces back and forth on the tip of your tongue waiting for an exit It's sealed in by a red tape distraction designed to block the words of life You gamble their lives away on a dream and you're losing every time Uncover your mute mouths and say something worth something, and try to show your value for their lives, Help to change hearts and minds. Silence has never changed a thing but you'll keep trying anyway...
